Voter ID requirement
Electors are required to provide proof of their identity when attending a polling station to vote in the elections on the 4 May 2023.

You can register to vote online on the GOV.UK website, or request a register to vote form from the elections office.

Postal voting
A postal vote is made on a ballot paper which is posted to you, and you post back to us, before the election day.
Proxy voting
Proxy voting is when someone you trust votes for you at a polling station because you are unable to cast your vote in person.
