The annual canvass of electors through a form sent out to every address, asks if the details of people registered to vote at that address are correct.
Register to vote
You can register to vote online on the GOV.UK website, or request a register to vote form from the elections office.

Electoral registers
The full electoral register used for elections lists people registered to vote in Eden District. An edited version of the electoral register is for sale.
Electoral register forms
Use this form to report an elector has deceased, person no longer at address or remove from open register. Also use this form to request a paper copy of postal vote application form, proxy vote application form, invitation to register form, change of name application form, and confirmation of registration.
Voter ID requirement
Electors are required to provide proof of their identity when attending a polling station to vote in the elections on the 4 May 2023.
Postal Voting
A postal vote is made on a ballot paper which is posted to you, and you post back to us, before the election day.
Proxy Voting
Proxy voting is when someone you trust votes for you at a polling station because you are unable to cast your vote in person.
