CCTV (Closed Circuit Television)
CCTV is a valuable tool in the prevention and detection of crime. Our CCTV Policy and Code of Practice (PDF: 189Kb / 9 pages) which was approved and adopted in December 2016, covers the use of CCTV systems on our premises in Penrith.
In May 2016, we submitted our completed Self-Assessment Tool to the Surveillance Camera Commissioner. We are committed to achieving compliance with the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice 2013.
There are 3 fixed CCTV units in Penrith, funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. The units are continuously monitored and managed by Cumbria Constabulary.
