• Private drainage

• Private drainage and foul drainage is not the responsibility of the water undertaker. We can offer help and advice on private drainage issues.

• Private sewers and drains

• Since October 2011 the water undertaker now has the responsibility for private sewers and drains that were previously the responsibility of some house owners.

• Public sewers

• Public sewers in Eden are the responsibility of United Utilities Plc and Northumbria Water in the Alston area.

• Land drainage

• We can take action against poorly maintained land drainage that may lead to flooding.
