First Homes Position Statement

The First Homes Position Statement was adopted on 15 March 2022. It sets out the key information relating to First Homes and how it will affect the implementation of Policy HS1 Affordable Housing in the adopted Eden Local Plan 2014- 2032.

The requirement for First Homes (a new type of affordable housing specifically for first time buyers) was introduced through the First Homes Written Ministerial Statement on 24 May 2021 and came into force on 28 June 2021 (subject to transitional arrangements).
