Key Stage 1 and 2 school workshops

School Programme

We offer inspiring and enjoyable learning opportunities both at the museum and in schools that help develop knowledge and understanding using our rich collections, local history and the arts to encourage creativity and learning.

Object handling is at the core of what we do, our sessions are fun and interactive. Our unique selling point is our localness - we are the museum for the Eden Valley and we use our extensive local collection in our workshops and wherever possible we allow students to handle actual objects from the period - so 2000 years ago someone, like you, was using this item.

Contact the Museum Curators on the details below for school bookings, enquiries or general school visits.

Cost

The cost of a workshop at Penrith and Eden Museum lasting an hour and a half for 30 pupils is £75 for schools.

The cost of a workshop at a school for either a whole morning, or afternoon, for 30 pupils, is £100, we can also offer a full day.
