CCTV (Closed Circuit Television)

CCTV is a valuable tool in the prevention and detection of crime. We approved and adopted our CCTV Policy and Code of Practice in December 2016. The policy covers the use of CCTV systems on our premises in Penrith.

In May 2016, we submitted our completed Self-Assessment Tool to the Surveillance Camera Commissioner. We are committed to achieving compliance with the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice 2013.

There are 3 fixed CCTV units in Penrith, funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. The units are continuously monitored and managed by Cumbria Constabulary.
