Penrith Business Improvement District (BID) levy
What is a BID levy?
A BID levy is payable by a ratepayer and is in addition to the Business Rates for properties that fall within a BID area.
How many BID areas are there and where are they?
There is one BID area in Eden, the Penrith Business Improvement District, which covers the town centre area. To find out more, go to Penrith Bid website.
Who runs the BID area?
We do not run the BID area, it is run by the Penrith BID Board. They will be running a programme of additional services over and above that provided by the public sector. Under the Business Improvement Districts (England) Regulations 2004, we are acting on behalf of the Penrith BID Board and will collect the BID levies on their behalf.
How to pay the BID levy?
Pay your Penrith BID invoice online. You can also pay by BACS, Internet Banking, or Telephone Banking. Your bank will require our bank details:
