Relocation package of up to £5125 is available. Business mileage payable.


Eden District Council are seeking a trainee building control surveyor to join our Building Control team. We are looking for someone who is proactive enthusiastic and driven to provide our customers with a first class service. This is a great opportunity to commence a career in building control within a supportive team environment with excellent potential for future progression.
The Building Control service is currently going through a period of change, and the successful candidate would help the team deliver the changes required. You must be forward thinking, comfortable working away from the office and willing to train to become a fully qualified surveyor through an agreed qualification programme.
During your training and once qualified you will be required to develop good working relationships with customers and liaise with members of the public and/or their agents. You will need to have a good organisational and administrative back ground as well as strong data capture and recording skills.


Essential requirements for this role include a minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including Math’s & English. Good IT skills, accurate record keeping and effective communication skills are also required as well the use of a car for business purposes.
