Job summary

We are seeking a skilled, proactive and forward thinking individual to lead and manage the Property and Estates team to provide high quality, cost effective services and to maximize the use of the Council’s assets. The post would also support the Deputy Director Technical Services to deliver on broader initiatives such as Devolution and future Penrith Vision. 

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree in engineering or building with sound knowledge and experience of Land and Property management practice and Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations. Ideally you will have experience of tendering for and managing large scale development projects although this is not essential. There is a requirement to travel independently around the District on a regular basis.
