Eden District Council has no Council Housing, the housing stock was transferred to Eden Housing Association in 1997.

  2. Please could you provide a breakdown of the Energy Performance Certificate of all commercial properties owned by your local authority.

  3. Please could you provide

    1. the number of commercial properties rated in each category (A-G),
Eden District Council owns 4 properties rated "C". 4 properties rated "D" and 5 properties rated "E". In addition there are currently 14 properties that require an Energy Performance Certificate, either due to the fact that the previous certificate has expired or the units have never had one completed previously.

    2. state whether any of these have improved in the past five years.

  4. There have been no improvements over the last five years, however this is due for review given new regulations that will be applicable from 1 April 2023. By 1 April 2023, landlords must not continue to let a non-domestic property which is already let if that property has an EPC rating of band F or G – even where there has been no tenancy renewal, extension or new tenancy. This will capture some of the 14 properties mentioned above, that have never previously had an Energy Performance Certificates.
