I am looking for some information on cemeteries and churchyards that are managed by your Council.

Ideally, I would like the reply in the form of a spreadsheet, column headings reflecting the information detailed below.  Please note that the word “cemetery” below should be taken to include cemeteries and churchyards.

A) Cemetery name

B) Cemetery address, including postcode (or nearest postcode)

C) Date that the cemetery opened

D) Date of first burial

E) Name of first person buried

F) Whether the cemetery remains open, or is closed for new burials

G) If closed, the date of closure

H) If closed, the date of last burial

I) If closed, the name of the last person buried

J) Whether the cemetery is a churchyard or purpose built cemetery

K) Whether or not the cemetery was previously privately run

L) If the cemetery was previously privately run, the date management was taken over by the Council

M) If the cemetery was previously privately run, the reason management was taken over by the Council

N) Whether the original cemetery area has been extended

O) If the original cemetery has been extended, the date that the extension was opened (or dates, if more than one extension)

P) Whether or not there is a “paupers” section in the cemetery

Q) If there is a paupers section, the number of burials

R) The total number of all burials to date (or to date of cemetery closure, if applicable)

S) The latitude co-ordinate of the cemetery main entrance

T) The longitude co-ordinate of the cemetery main entrance

Please can you also e-mail me any maps of the cemeteries that are available, both those that cover the entire cemetery, and any covering sections/showing individual burial plots.  Ideally these should be in PDF format.
