For the purposes of this request, please define cyber attacks as "malicious attempts to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to computer systems, networks or devices", as defined by the National Cyber Security Centre.

  • How many cyber attacks has the council suffered in each of the following calendar years?

  • For each of the following calendar years, how much extra money has the council spent recovering from or dealing with the impact of cyber attacks? Please include any extra costs associated with the cyber attack, examples of which could include but are not limited to: recovering or recreating lost files; working in less efficient ways because of temporary loss of IT equipment; hiring in new expertise to deal with the impact of the attack.
