I am writing to make a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, (Scotland) 2002 and Northern Ireland (2014).

Please could you provide UNISON with the following information? I attach a spreadsheet which contains all of the questions and should be an easy format by which to send us your response.

 For the financial year 2016/17:

  1. Overall budget for children and young people’s services?
  2. Overall budget for children and young people’s services for ages 13-19 and young people up to age 25 with a disability if recorded? 
  3. Overall reduction in expenditure, to the nearest £'000, (compared to 2015/16) on children and young people services:Council provided services, alternative providers (i.e. voluntary and community sector or other organisations supporting young people) 
  4. Overall reduction in expenditure, to the nearest £000 (compared to 2015/16), in the budget for children and young people’s services for ages 13-19 and young people up to age 25 with a disability if recorded? 
  5. Council provided services
  6. Alternative providers (i.e. voluntary and community sector or other organisations supporting young people) 
  7. Overall reduction in the number of directly employed youth workers and youth support workers (Head count/FTE)? 
  8. Overall reduction (compared to 2015/16) in: number of youth centres, number of allocated places for young people in youth centres (if recorded)
