Christmas opening hours
Our main offices at Mansion House and the Town Hall will close on Monday 24 December 2018 at 4pm and will reopen at 8:45am on Wednesday 2 January 2019.
Out of hours emergency number
When the main offices are closed we have a duty officer who maintains an 'out-of-hours' emergency service. To contact the Duty Officer call 01768 212499.

Local Land Charges Searches
Due to the closure of Council offices between 25 December and 1 January any searches received by this office after 8 December may not be returned until after 2 January 2017.
Standard searches where the expedited fee has been paid should be received by this office by 12pm on the 13 December to allow for return before 22 December.
A standard search is one that does not require a reply to any CON29 Part 2 enquiries.

If you find a stray dog over the Christmas period please telephone the Out of Hours number 01768 212499.
Reclaiming your stray dog
Owners can reclaim their stray dog from a Community Warden on the following days:
- Sunday 24 December 2017, between 10am and 12noon only
- Wednesday 27 December 2017, between 10am and 12noon only
- Saturday 30 December 2017, between 10am and 12noon only
A Community Warden will arrange a time with an owner for the return of the dog. Payment will have to be made in full before the dog is returned. For further information see the web page returning your stray dog.
Reporting a lost dog
To report a lost dog please call the out of hours telephone number: 01768 212499 as soon as possible and give the pet's details.
