Notice of election for Pategill parish ward
Notice is hereby given that a by-election is to be held for a Councillor on Thursday 6 May 2021 for the Pategill parish ward of Penrith Town Council.
Nomination papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer* during normal office hours see below for details. Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer on any day after the date of this notice**, between 10am and 4pm but not later than 4pm on Thursday 8 April 2021, at the address shown below.
If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021 between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by Monday 19 April 2021.
The deadline for new applications to vote by post or to change existing postal vote or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown below by 5pm on Tuesday 20 April 2021.
New applications to vote by proxy must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 27 April 2021.
The deadline for new applications to be received by the Electoral Registration Officer to vote by proxy on grounds of emergency is not later than 5pm on Thursday 6 May 2021.
