Housing Land Availability Assessment (LAA) 2015

Date published

The Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) was completed in October 2015 and replaces a previous version undertaken by March 2009 by consultants Drivers Jonas.

The main purpose of the LAA is to identify sites with the potential for housing, assess their potential in terms of the number of housing units and to assess when they could be developed. The study forms part of the evidence base for the draft Local Plan which identifies those sites which the Council considers suitable for residential development. The LAA is a technical background document only, it is not a statement of Council policy and does not allocate land. The LAA will not alter in any way, how a planning application will be dealt with, either now or in the future.

If you would like to discuss the LAA please contact Planning Policy Section on 01768 817 817 or email
