Passport to Leisure Card

The aim of the Passport to Leisure Card scheme is to encourage young people to take part and maintain an interest in sports activities, and to enable young people to make a positive use of their leisure time. We offer the scheme in partnership with Greenwich Leisure (GLL), under their Better brand.

What is the Passport to Leisure Scheme

Passport to Leisure Card is a scheme to promote sport and leisure. All passport to leisure card holders can benefit from the following:

A programme of free sessions at Penrith and Appleby Leisure Centres between 22 July and 3 September 2019.

Free access to putting and tennis at Penrith Castle Park.

Who is eligible for a passport to leisure card?

The Passport to Leisure Card is available to all Year 10 and Year 11 students residing in Eden District.

How do I apply for a passport to leisure card?

Complete an application form before 30 June 2019 online at or at either Penrith Leisure Centre or Appleby Leisure Centre.

What activities are available?

A programme of free gym sessions at Penrith Leisure Centre and Appleby Leisure Centre, plus free swimming every day at public swim times and racket sports. Gym and racket sports available only at advertised times.

Free access to tennis and putting from 22 July and 3 September 2019 at Penrith Castle Park.
