Housing, health and safety rating system

The Housing, Health and Safety Rating System is the national standard for inspecting houses. During a housing inspection, an officer will look for 29 different hazards. These include: damp and mould growth, electrical safety and fire safety.

See renting out your property on GOV.UK for details of landlords responsibilities.

Join the Cumbria Landlord Accreditation scheme, which provides opportunities for training and trade discounts.

If the property is in a bad state of repair we can take action to improve the property.
