See Local Housing Allowance. There are two separate Broad Rental Market Areas in Eden, called 'North Cumbria' and 'West Cumbria', which applies to the Threlkeld area.
We base Local Housing Allowance on the number of bedrooms that your household requires. It is important that you work out the number of bedrooms your household requires and, therefore, the rate of Local Housing Allowance that we will base your Housing Benefit on.

If the rent you pay is higher than the above Local Housing Allowance rate, we will calculate your Housing Benefit using the Local Housing Allowance rate. If your rent is lower that the Local Housing Allowance rate, we will calculate your benefit using your rent.
Please note that this is the largest amount of Local Housing Allowance that you will receive. Your actual benefit may be less, depending on the amount of money you have coming in. It also depends on other adults (non-dependants), apart from your partner, who live with you.
