Penrith Town Council has increased its precept from £450,069 in 2021/2022 to £455,209 in 2022/2023; the precept includes the following:
|Budget Heading Committee Services:||2021/2022
|Communities, Culture and Economic Growth||122,000||114,500|
|Council Tax Reduction Grant and Other Income||-8,380||-7,650|
|Contribution to/(from) Reserves||-56,765||-66,625|
Although Council expenditure has increased because of service improvements, reserves have been used to maintain the Council Tax at its existing level. The precept has increased because of a higher Council Taxbase.
