Blue refuse bag collection

Household refuse should be placed in the blue bags supplied as part of the waste collection service. Hot ashes may be placed in an ash bin,  which must be made of steel and have two handles.

Blue bags have not been collected

If your blue sacks were out by 6am on the day of collection and have not been collected, you can let us know by completing the online missed refuse (blue bag) collection form, or telephoning 01768 817817.

No replacement blue bags

Blue bags are only left if you place blue bags out for collection. If you placed two or more blue bags out for collection, you should get two new blue bags in their place. If you placed one blue bag out for collection, you will get one new blue bag in its place. If you do not get any replacements, and your full blue bag was collected, please tell us by completing the blue refuse bag problem form, or telephone 01768 817817.

Public holiday changes to blue bag collection

The only time collection days will change is at Christmas and New Year, refuse will be collected on all other public holidays. Christmas and New Year collections dates are printed on the blue bags, or see refuse collection dates for public holidays.

Road closures changes to blue bag collection

When road closures prevent refuse vehicles accessing your property, collections will be attempted again on the next scheduled collection day. Long term closure arrangements will need to be made by the organisation who is responsible for the road closures.

Where to set blue bags out for collection

Blue bags should be tied securely and set out no earlier than the night before the day of collection, but no later than 6am on the collection day. Bags should be set out at the boundary of the property on the kerbside and visible from the roadside.
