National Key Scheme (NKS)

The National Key Scheme (NKS) offers disabled people independent access to locked public toilets with disabled facilities around the country. Anyone having a NKS key has 24 hour access to these toilets.

Originally the NKS scheme was set up by the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation (RADAR), but following a merger between Disability Alliance, Radar and National Centre for Independent Living, the Disability Rights UK was formed and NKS keys can now be purchased from them or locally from Tourist Information Centres:
