Departmental Service Plans are designed to look
forward and to plan how each department will meet the Council's
targets set for the forthcoming year.
Each Service Plan also considers the setting of
2008-9 budgets by identifying cost pressures and savings
opportunities. During 2007-8 the Council is embarking on an
initiative to examine its objectives and priorities so that budgets
can be aligned to service priorities, in order to make savings and
balance the Council's budget.
