Energy prices
Energy prices can change quickly with them often rising. It is not surprising that the effects of the Credit Crunch leave people with less money to pay for increasing energy bills. People in Eden are particularly vulnerable to energy price rises as many homes are heated by oil which can be more expensive than other forms of fuel.

To find out when oil heating prices are at its least expensive you can access information on week by week price changes. Some businesses provide a price check facility where you are able to enter your postcode to find the most affordable way to buy heating oil. Please note that the Council may provide links to information on companies websites but this should not be considered as the Council recommending services or products they offer.
Local heating oil delivery companies will be listed in the Yellow Pages.
Gas and Electric - There are many different providers of gas and electricity within the District. It is essential you check you are not paying too much for either or both of them. Discounts can often be gained by receiving both services from the same provider.
