Many of the services we provide to the community are funded through the Council Tax system. At County and District level, these services include Education, Refuse Collection, Library Services, Social Care, etc.
Our fees and charges are for services which are not covered by Council Tax or Business Rates. They are for services we provide, such as leisure, bereavement, parking, environmental, planning and building control. Other charges are made for licenses.
