Appeal for entertainers to perform at Penrith markets!

The Penrith Farmers market returns to the town centre on Tuesday 20 March in Cornmarket and is the beginning of a new era in Penrith’s market history. What will really make it stand out is live, fun and fascinating entertainment.

The town’s market is a real opportunity for local people, businesses and musicians and entertainers to make the town more colourful and vibrant. The potential for markets to efficiently benefit town centre trade was highlighted in the Mary Portas Review recently published by the Government. Opportunities exist for food producers and suppliers to become involved in the town and even start up enterprises to take advantage.

Eden District Council’s Town Centres Officer, Annabel Candler said: “To create an interactive and friendly atmosphere at the markets, I want to hear from musicians and entertainers who can come and perform at the markets to create a really vibrant atmosphere in the town centre and get Penrith buzzing with activity.”
