Recognising people, who make Eden a better place to live, work and visit
Do you have a local hero in your community? Perhaps they go that extra mile to make a real difference helping others? Or organise community or sporting activities? Why not recognise their hard work and nominate them for an Eden Local Heroes Award.
Eden District Council’s Leader, Councillor Keith Phillips said: “The Council in conjunction with the Cumberland and Westmorland Herald are inviting nominations from the public for the Eden Local Heroes Awards, which aim to recognise and celebrate those individuals in Eden who make a real difference to our community.
“Last year’s awards showed that we have much to celebrate in the District, as many people give their time generously without reward to help others. We have five categories of entry this year and I am really looking forward, along with my fellow judges to seeing the nominations come in.”
