Fly Posting

Fly posting is the illegal placing of unauthorised posters and stickers, usually in public places. It is an anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area and contributes to people's fear of crime. This in turn can discourage others from taking a pride in their surroundings, leading to further damage to the quality of our environment.

Fly posting incidents will be investigated by our Community Wardens. If you would like any unsightly fly-posters to be investigated which are on our property, private property or street furniture, tell us online by completing the graffiti, vandalism and fly posting report online form.

We have an enforcement procedure that covers the broad issues of enforcement and regulation with component policies in connection with its powers under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act (CNEA). Our Flow Charts for Enforcement Procedure gives guidance on the correct protocol of advertising.
