We have a bus pass scheme that is run for us by NoWcard. You can use a bus pass on any bus in Cumbria at any time. You cannot use a bus pass for taxis or trains.

You are entitled to a bus pass if:

  • you are a man or woman over the age of 60
You must provide proof of your age: a birth certificate, pension book/card, marriage certificate, passport, or driving licence.
  • you are registered blind, or disabled
You will have to provide proof of invalidity.

How do I apply for a bus pass?

To apply for a bus pass download and complete a travel pass application form on the Nowcard website. You will be asked for:

  • your details: name, address and postcode, telephone number
  • a recent colour photograph
  • your local authority (Eden)
  • and your national insurance number if you want to give it
  • if you are blind, or disabled, you will be asked for details of your doctor: name, address and postcode.
