Eden District Council provides a total of five public pay and display car parks. Free parking is also available at the Town Hall and Mansion House car parks at weekends and Ullswater Community College during school holidays.

Parking availability in Penrith is divided into short stay 'on-street' and short and long stay 'off- street' pay and display parking.

Free time-limited parking is also available on-street in the 'disc zone' zone areas around the town. The discs can be obtained free from shops displaying a parking poster.
