Eden District Council has recently undertaken a review of its housing policies in order to ensure that they are consistent with current national and regional policy, and the Cumbria and Lake District Joint Structure Plan (proposed changes June 2004).
The review was completed on 21 October 2004, when the new policies were adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance by the Council, and the policies will now supersede the housing policies in the 1996 Eden Local Plan.
