Anyone who carries on at any premises (which
could be a private dwelling) a business of selling animals as pets
requires a licence. Licenses are issued on an annual basis by the
Environmental Services Section and cover matters such as:
- the accommodation provided for the
animals
- food and drink
- age at which animals may be sold
- precautions taken to prevent the spread of
disease
- fire and emergency precautions
