Eden offers drop in facilities for young people
at the Appleby Swimming Pool, Penrith Leisure Centre. During the
summer months there are also outdoor activities including Tennis,
Putting and Obstacle Golf available at the Castle Park Penrith.
Both the Appleby Pool and the Penrith leisure
Centre are operated under contract by Parkwood Leisure on behalf of
Eden District Council.
Appleby Pool
The Appleby Pool provides swimming, fun and
other specialist sessions. For those over the age of 16 there is
also a fully equipped Fitness facility that can be accessed on a
pay as you go or a membership basis. The Appleby Swimming Club is
also based at the Pool.

Penrith Leisure Centre
The Penrith Leisure Centre, which has recently
benefited from a substantial extension and improvement programme
offers a wide range of activities for young and old alike.
Activities range from Children's birthday
parties either based around a pool hire or dry activities, general
Swimming through to Badminton, Five-a-side football and many other
sporting activities.
The extended centre opened in September 2005,
the programme of activities is therefore continually developing, it
is advisable to either contact the Centre direct in order to get
details of the latest programme.

Castle Park
The Park is located on Ullswater Road opposite
the Railway Station, facilities include; Tennis Courts, Putting,
Obstacle Golf, Bowling Green and a Children's Play area.
