BlueJam is a social enterprise running a youth and inter-generational Music and Arts programme in Cumbria and London. Their aim is to promote innovative, high-quality Music and Arts activity in an inclusive and socially constructive way. They specialise in the creation of original music and art in a variety of genres, media and contexts.
The exhibition begins with a free open evening on Thursday 18 August at 6.30pm. The features amazing head-dresses, 50's dresses and skirts made by the team. There will be and opportunity to watch video of photos, interviews and events from this year-long Heritage project. Vintage Contemporary Exhibition is the final showcase from the project.
BlueJam's Vintage Contemporary Project has been funded by Heritage Lottery Fund. Thanks to all who have given us time, memories, enthusiasm, costumes and invaluable help and support.
Exhibition runs from Thursday 18 August to Tuesday 6 September 2011.
Museum Opening Hours:
Monday to Saturday: 10am - 4pm.
The museum's opening hours are the same as Penrith Tourist Information Centre.
