Friends of Penrith and Eden Museum

The Friends of Penrith and Eden Museum is an independent support group. The friends meet at the Quaker Meeting House, in Penrith between September and May. They host talks on subjects of local and national interest.

They assist the museum with the purchase of objects especially items with local connections. Recently, the Friends bought at auction a sketchbook of 19th century local sculptor and artist Thomas Bland of Reagill for the Museum. The sketchbook contains original drawings of Bland's famous sculpture garden at Yew Tree Farm, Reagill as well as scenes in Eden and its neighbourhood.
