Appleby Leisure Centre is located next to the River Eden, with beautiful surroundings and picturesque views the Appleby Leisure Centre provides state of the art leisure facilities for Appleby and the Upper Eden area. The leisure centre is managed on behalf of the Council by Parkwood Leisure.
The Appleby Leisure Centre underwent major refurbishment in 1992 which replaced the previous open air War Memorial Pool with a modern and purpose built indoor swimming pool. Further enhancements have been made to provide today the following facilities:
