We have been working with Eden Play Partnership
for the last six months to develop the Eden Play Strategy. An audit
and review of the current provision of facilities and services for
children and young people has been carried out. The audit
identified gaps in provision of these services and facilities are
Eden district.
The Strategy will guide the
Council and Eden Play Partnership to secure funds for the
provision of new and improved facilities and services.

Eden Play Partnership
The Eden Play Partnership was formed in 2006. It
has representation from organisations interested in and working
with children and young people. The Partnership has worked with
Eden District Council in developing the Eden Play Strategy. The
Council are committed to supporting the Play Partnership and it is
hoped that by working together, we can attract funding to develop
children and youth initiatives.
'Play means what children and young
people do when they follow their own ideas and interests, in their
own way and for their own reasons'
