What is the Accreditation Scheme?

The Accredited Landlord Scheme encourages high standards and good practices in the private rented sector.

What are the benefits to landlords?

The scheme is voluntary and entirely free and comes with many benefits including:

What do I need to do to Join?

In order to join the scheme, landlords and their properties must meet a minimum code of standards, both for health and safety, and for good letting practice.

If you would like to apply to become an accredited landlord please ask for an application pack from the Housing Team, or download the: Accredited Landloard application form (PDF: 52Kb / 3 pages)

Once we have received your application, you will be contacted with further information and to arrange property viewings.

What happens after I join?

When your application is processed you will receive a membership certificate and be eligible to access the benefits of the scheme. You will receive a landlord information pack and a regular newsletter. You can also sign up for email bulletins to keep you up to date.
