Are there any grants available for converting or renovating my property?
There are no longer any grants available for converting or renovating property. Grants are only available for disabled aids and adaptations for eligible people and in some circumstances for minor repairs to property (the policy for eligibility for these is currently under review). Are there any grants for energy efficiency e.g. insulating lofts?
The Council does not give any grants, but you may be eligible under another scheme. Contact the Cumbria Energy Advice Centre for more information on Telephone: 0800 512012.
I am having problems with my rented property. Who do I contact?
If the property is privately rented contact the Housing Team. If you rent from a Housing Association, please contact them directly.
Is there somewhere I can donate unwanted furniture and household items?
Impact Furniture Services Telephone: (01768) 210555 and Impact Housing Association Telephone (01768) 863153 are both involved with furniture recycling.
Is there a list of all the Housing Associations who work in Eden and the properties they own?
