Rubbish, Waste and Recycling

Everybody generates waste, whether at home or work, and need to dispose of it safely. Waste can be any material that people want to discard, if they no longer have a use for it. Households in Eden generated approximately 23,767 tonnes of waste during the year 2005/06 14,451 tonnes were taken to the tip and 9,316 tonnes were recycled.
