Contaminated Land Strategy

We have produced a Contaminated Land Strategy in accordance with Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. It describes how we will identify and prioritise sites for further investigation. If contamination on a site is assessed as presenting an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment then we will secure remediation for it from the appropriate source.

This is the first review of the strategy which was originally produced in July 2001. We are currently going through the process of inspecting the district to identify all the possible sites.
