Domestic Clinical Waste
Residents who require a clinical waste collection need to contact their Doctor or State Registered Nurse to request a collection from a domestic dwelling.
Clinical waste includes:
- Blood or other human fluids
- Excretion
- Medical items - including sharp instruments, syringes, swabs, bandages and any other waste arising from medical or veterinary use.
Discarded Needles and Syringes
Needles, syringes and other drug related items are being increasingly discarded.We will dispose of needles, syringes and other drug related items safely for details see Needles and Syringes.
Please note the Council does not collect sharps from Commercial properties.
