Apologies for absence were received from Councillors I Torkington, (Councillor G Bowen attended in his place), M Holliday (Councillor Miss M Clark attended in his place) and Councillor D Harding (Councillor Mrs S Orchard attended in his place).

Pla/230/3/12 Declarations of Interest

  1. Councillor W Patterson declared a personal interest in respect of the application for discussion as the applicant was known to him through his involvement in the agricultural community.

Pla/231/3/12 Outline planning application for a residential development of 8 dwellings (including affordable provision of 2 dwellings) at Old Hall Barn, Soulby for Mrs E Dinsdale - BCDC Developments (11/0829)

The Committee considered the above application which was the subject of a site visit.

The Committee received a presentation from Ms K Bradburn-Sims objecting to the application.

The Committee received a presentation from Ms A March, on behalf of the Parish Council, objecting to the application.
The Committee received a presentation from Mr A Willison-Holt, the applicant's agent, in support of the application.
The Committee received a statement regarding the application from Councillor I Torkington, District Councillor for the Ward, which was read out on his behalf.

That the Committee be Minded to Refuse the application

And RESOLVED that the Committee be MINDED TO REFUSE the application and it be deferred for considered until the next meeting of the Committee to be held on 19 April 2012.
