Decision Reference Number Cs_10_1_12
Subject Matter: Proposed 2012 to 2013 Fees and Charges
Date Decision Made 19 January 2012
Portfolio: Communities
Decision made by: Councillor Mrs Mary Robinson
Interests Declared:
Decision: The Fees and Charges as set out in report CD5/12 be accepted as the basis for the Leisure Fees and Charges for the Financial year 2012 to 2013.
Agreement for the introduction/implementation, where appropriate, of concessionary charges suggested by the incoming Leisure Contractor be delegated to the Communities Director.
Relevant Overview and Scrutiny Committee: Scrutiny Co-ordinating Board
Reports and Background Papers Considered
Reasons for Decision The new Leisure Contractor has provided the proposed Fees and Charges as its suggested Fees and Charges for 2012 to 2013, these are seen as being reasonable and should be accepted.

The Concessions as outlined in report CD5/12 are welcomed as they encourage use by sectors of the community who may currently find it difficult to access the facilities. However, as there may be practical reasons why amendments may need to be made prior to implementation in April 2012, delegated authority to the Communities Director is sought in order that the final details of the Fees and Charges can be agreed during the period leading to the 1 April commencement date of the new Leisure Management Contract.
