HRA/14/2/11 Exclusion of the Press and Public

RESOLVED that in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, members of the public (including the press) be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

HRA/15/2/11 To Interview Candidates for the Post of Interim Chief Executive

Seven candidates had been shortlisted to be considered for the post of the interim Chief Executive. Members of the Committee questioned and received a presentation from each candidate.

The Members of the Committee considered d each candidate the information they had provided and the responses they had made taking account of the criteria for and key tasks of the position. RESOLVED that:

1. Council be recommended to appoint Robin Hooper to the post of interim Chief Executive to Eden District Council.
2. The Council's thanks be given to all candidates for the time and effort which they expended during the interview process and the Members' appreciation of the qualities and capabilities of each candidate.

Reasons for Decision

The Committee took account of the applications and made a decision on the merits of the candidates with regard to the key tasks and criteria for the position.

Other Options Considered

The appointment of the other candidates.
