Disabled People's Guide is the first of its kind
in Eden and has been produced by the Eden Forum for Disabled Access
using information gathered by surveys and will be updated and added
to on and after completion of access appraisals undertaken by
Members of the Eden Forum for Disabled Access.
The main emphasis is on access for disabled
people to the services and facilities in the Eden Valley. By doing
this it is hoped to open doors to many other groups and visitors,
to enable them to take the full advantage of the area. Many of our
market towns have listed buildings of historical interest and we
recognise the restrictions they place on disabled people. Wherever
possible suitable accessible points have been found and the guide
will point out these places in an effort to provide clear
information.
Whilst every care has been taken to provide
accurately up-to-date information, we are aware it is sometimes
general and people have special needs. If you need to query
accessibility to premises a telephone call will confirm their
suitability.
