We provide grant assistance to businesses in the District with other partner organisations, these are listed below:
Tourism Grant
- Small marketing grants (maximum grant of £500 per project) for new events and tourism related marketing projects for the Eden District
- Requires details of a project outline, budget and a feedback report from supported events/projects
- Discretionary
- Administered through Eden Tourism, Eden District Council

Employer Assistance
We offer employer assistance of up to £700 to help local businesses access student and graduate skills through the University of Cumbria's Business Support Services.
Business Placement Service
Helping Cumbrian businesses to find reliable, skilled students/graduates for between 2 and 13 weeks to help complete business projects.
Business Placements Service (BPS) is administered through the University of Cumbria. The subsidy will cover 50% of the allowance paid to the student/graduate up to a maximum of £700. For further information on employer support see University of Cumbria webpage on Businesses and Employers.
