Every business property that is subject to business rates is assigned a rateable value by the Valuation Officer. Although the rateable value is a key factor in the calcuation of the rates bill it is not the rates bill.
The total rateable value for Business Rate properties in Eden District for the financial year 2011-2012 is estimated at £51.1 million, with rates being collected from an estimated 3,190 ratepayers.
