Charging Order

If an arrangement fails or is not offered the recovery team may consider a charging order. This means that the liability order is presented before a judge who may place a charge against a person's property. This action means that if the property was sold the Council would receive the monies owed. In certain circumstances a forced sale of the property will be appropriate in order that the debt is satisfied.
