Open Data is information held by the government and local councils which is freely available for use and reuse by the public.
We are fully committed to Open Data and to fulfilling our duties to publish our data under the Local Government Transparency Code 2015 (PDF: 846Kb / 40 pages)
. The Code sets out the minimum data that we need to publish, the frequency it should be published and how it should be published.
We are currently developing the data sets required by the Code, with the aim of publishing them all on our website by the end of December 2016. Some of this data is already available (below) and we will add to it as other data sets become available.

Use of our open data
Below are the data sets that we currently publish for public re-use. All data listed on this page is released for public reuse under the Open Government Licence. This licence allows you to use the data for any purpose you wish so long as the source is credited to Eden District Council. If you use any of these data sets to create web applications we would really like to know - let us know and we will list them here.
